It originally was supposed to be but budget wouldn't allow it. And this is guy was one of the key artists on the show.

True, these shows need bigger budgets =(

I do know Vlad was one of the main texture designers/CG modelers on the show ;) that's how I got a ton of image of the models and screen shots of the show (off his Facebook page =) )

Haha yeah ;) For a show that didn't had enough money, they sure made the best looking dinos around (maybe the only show that "pulled it off". Hey look on the bright sight if Discovery allows it the movie will be in it's prime. And then all's right in the world! ;)

They should have gone to the BBC or some network with a more open mind ;) might have been even more awesome. Heck me thinks a movie studio might have worked as they would have thought it might have be a very lucrative TV miniseries.

Well BBC had Planet Dinosaur. And Fox has that Walking with Dinosaurs movie.

Planet Dinosaur didn't look too good SFX-wise (it looked like good videogame graphics rather than any decent CG u'd see in films or TV) but I do like the idea of doing these dinomentaries as 100% CGI projects. That seems like the way to go. I just don't understand why they didn't just go on with new WWD episodes. Fox may be making the "movie" but that doesn't they couldn't continue with the TV series. I want Kenneth Branagh to narrate every dinosaur show there is =D I heard John Hurt couldn't pronounce the names of the dinosaurs properly or, more importantly, consistently. Either that or Sigourney Weaver's gorgeous vocal talent. I wouldn't mind her telling me what that dromaeosaur is doing on that mound of earth =D

I thought John Hurt did a amazing job with the narration and said their names right. But yes, Kenneth Branagh is a classic voice to hear. Sigourney Weaver is great too. But my picks for voices is are the gods Sir David Attenborough, Jeremy Irons and James Earl Jones. And for some reason I could hear Alison Loham's voice in my head. Idk why maybe I want a fresh young voice and after hearing her voice from Nausicaa [link] If not her, than Emma Watson.

Do you create the base meshes for your models in another program like Maya or 3ds Max or are they done entirely from scratch in Zbrush? I have Zbrush and I was just wondering what the best workflow would most likely be.

Usually I make the base mesh in Max or Maya but it's possible to make them completely in ZB.
